COVID-19 Vaccination and your travel to Canada
Who all are exempted to travel to Canada:
- Canadians
- Permanent residents and their family members
- Some temporary foreign workers
- International students who attend an educational institution with a COVID-19 readiness.
- In addition, holders of a valid Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) .
Fully vaccinated, what it means:
- You should have received the full series of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine or a combination of accepted vaccines.
- You should have received your last dose at least 14 days prior to the day you enter Canada.
- You should have uploaded your proof of vaccination in ArriveCAN digitally in French or English, or certified translation into French or English.
- Children or dependents also MUST be fully vaccinated.
List of Covid-19 Vaccines currently Accepted:
- Pfizer-BioNTech
- Moderna
- AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD
- Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) – single dose
List of Covid-19 Vaccines NOT currently accepted:
- Bharat Biotech (Covaxin, BBV152 A, B, C)
- Gamalaya (Sputnik V, Gam-Covid-Vac)
- Cansino (Convidecia, Ad5-nCoV)
- Sinovac (CoronaVac, PiCoVacc)
- Vector Institute (EpiVacCorona)
- Sinopharm (BBIBP-CorV, Sinopharm-Wuhan)
- Any other
